With his arrival at PC Capital, Pedro made a big pivot in his career, switching from a systems engineering job at Dell Technologies into the financial services sector. Pedro worked as a Performance Engineer at Dell Technologies based in Austin, TX for 2 years and a half. In this role, Pedro validated hardware performance for Dell consumer PCs, mainly focusing on the Latitude line-of-business. Additionally, Pedro collaborated with the Business Transformation team (a consulting team at Dell) in which he conducted an investigation about the inefficiencies in the company´s sales process.
Pedro graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor´s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Computer Science minor. At UT, Pedro worked as a researcher at the ¨ARTS¨ (Advanced Robotic Technologies for Surgery) Lab, under the guidance of Dr. Farshid Alambeigi. In this lab, Pedro was involved in projects involving new soft robot designs for minimally invasive surgeries, exoskeletons for weight compensation, amongst others. Before joining Dell, Pedro also had the opportunity to do an internship at FlightAware, the global leader in flight tracking. In this internship, Pedro worked as a backend software engineer and helped update the firm´s codebase to streamline the processing of flight location data.
Currently at PC Capital, Pedro has focused on financial services companies. In his current role, Pedro analyzes investment opportunities and develops financial models.
